1) Strawberry Hennessy Cake Recipe
Now let’s move on to the reason you’re here – how to make the cake itself! This recipe is inspired by one from My Conscious Eating. It’s super easy and doesn’t require too many ingredients at all.
Ingredients
The ingredients you’ll need for this recipe are:
- 2 boxes of strawberry cake mix
- 8 eggs
- 4 sticks of melted unsalted butter
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla/almond extract
- 20 oz of frosting (vanilla or strawberry)
- 1 bottle of Hennessy
Recipe
Now all you need to do is:
Step 1: Prepare
Gather all of the ingredients you need for this recipe and preheat your oven to 350F. Lightly grease two baking pans or Bundt pans in preparation for the cake mixture.
Step 2: Make the batter
Add the milk, eggs, butter, and Hennessy. The amount of Hennessy you use is down to you; a generous helping is advised, but you can make it stronger or weaker, depending how boozy you want it. Mix well. Once everything is mixed, add the vanilla or almond extract, along with both boxes of strawberry cake mix. Beat for around two minutes using a whisk or blender.
Step 3: Bake the cake
Pour half of the batter into the first prepared pan, and the other half into the second prepared pan. Place in the center of your preheated oven and bake for around 40-45 minutes. To check whether your cake is cooked, place a skewer into the center of your cake. If the skewer is clean, your cake is ready! Leave to cool before removing from pans.
Step 4: Frosting
Prepare the frosting by adding it to a microwavable bowl and adding a few tablespoons of Hennessy, to give it a kick. Place in the microwave for around ten seconds and give it a good stir. Now pour the frosting over the top of the cake and let the runny frosting fall over the edges of the cake. Decorate as you wish, or leave as it is. Enjoy!
2) Hennessy Whipped Cream Recipe
Now you have your cake, you may be looking for something to serve it with. And while this cake is great as it is, this Hennessy whipped cream takes it to the next level. This recipe is inspired by one from Kenneth Temple.
Ingredients
The ingredients you’ll need for this recipe are:
- 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 2 tablespoons of Hennessy
Recipe
Now all you need to do is:
Grab a bowl and add the cream, sugar, Hennessy, and vanilla extract. You’ll need to beat this well, for approximately 3 minutes, or until it reaches whipping texture. You can either serve this with your cake or use it as a buttercream replacement for the middle of your two cakes. However you use it, it’s a delicious addition!
Conclusion
I hope this article has helped you to become more familiar with a strawberry Hennessy cake recipe. Whatever you’re celebrating, this cake is the perfect way to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
