The Whole Foods Tiramisu


  • 6 or more whole wheat ladyfingers
  • 1 cup Mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese)
  • 1 1/2 cups ugar or 3 tablespoons stevia adjust the sugar to your liking
  • 4 tbsp organic egg whites
  • 3 tbsp rum
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
  • 3 tbsp instant espresso powder


  • Prepare the coffee syrup. Place espresso powder, rum, and 1 tablespoon sugar over low heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.  Set it aside to cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese and egg whites until they are light and fluffy.  Add a little sugar if need be.  Set it in the refrigerator to cool.
  • Once the syrup cools down, dip each ladyfinger into coffee syrup for about five seconds then place them in an eight by eight-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  • Once all of the ladyfingers have been dipped, spread half of the mascarpone mixture over top.
  • Sift one tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder evenly over whole foods tiramisu dessert!
  • Place it in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.
