Tiramisu With Pound Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound cake, sliced
  • 1 cup strong coffee or espresso cooled
  • 2 tbsp Marsala wine
  • 1 1/2 cups Mascarpone cheese
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the coffee, Marsala wine, and Mascarpone until smooth.
  • In another bowl, sift together the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • To assemble tiramisu using pound cake instead of ladyfingers, begin by dipping each slice of pound cake into the coffee mixture until it’s well saturated.
    Place the slices in an even layer in a baking dish or on a large plate. Spread half of the tiramisu cream over the top, then repeat with another layer of soaked pound cake slices and tiramisu cream.
  • Refrigerate for at least two hours before serving to allow tiramisu to set properly.
