Tiramisu Balls Recipe

Dessert Recipes
There are so many variations to tiramisu that it can he hard to choose one. For instance, tiramisu balls are made with the same ingredients, but they are rolled into the shape of a ball and baked or refrigerated to keep the texture and thickness. To add your own twist to these desserts, you can make other sweets like chocolate bars with tiramisu flavoring, tiramisu milkshakes, and more.

  • Fridge

  • non-stick spray
  • microwavable bowl
  • microwave
  • Large Spoon
  • Plastic Wrap

Ingredients

  • 10-12 lady fingers
  • 1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of smooth mascarpone
  • 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of dark and strong espresso

Optional Ingredients

  • These ingredients are just suggestions if you want to roll your tiramisu balls with chocolate and other decorative sweet foods.
  • 4 ounces of milk chocolate
  • 2 ounces of dark chocolate
  • I know quite a few people who do not like dark chocolate. For our tiramisu balls recipe you can substitute with your favorite type of chocolate like white chocolate.
  • 1 tablespoon of mini sprinkles
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut shavings

Instructions

  • During the first step in this tiramisu balls recipe, you will blend or process the ladyfingers. I like using a blender since it is versatile and simple to use. Don't stop blending until the ladyfingers turn into a fine and thin powder, like flour but slightly grittier.
  • In the second step, you will slowly blend in the rest of the ingredients. Keep in mind that the dough will thicken soon with the more ingredients you add into the blender. Do this step as slowly as possible. Adding all the ingredients together can cause a sticky and thick dough that sticks to the inside of the blender.
  • Once the dough is complete, scoop it out into a large glass bowl using a scraper. Silicone scrapers are a great option for baking as they do not harm non-stick pans and glass. Cover the glass bowl and the dough with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for the dough to settle for a minimum of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Once the dough has settled and is thick, wash your hands and pick a clean working station. Spray non-stick spray onto your hands and using a mini ice cream scooper, gather small amounts of the dough. Roll the dough into a ball shape as much as possible.
  • Once you complete the fourth step in this tiramisu balls recipe, you are done! But, if you are a chocolate lover and want to add more to your delicious tiramisu, melt the chocolate in a microwavable safe bowl.
  • Roll your dough into the melted chocolate. Sprinkle the rest of the ingredients like sprinkles, chocolate shavings, mini marshmallows, cocoa powder, and shredded coconut bits. It will stick and dry to the melted chocolate as it cools.

Notes

  • With how simple and efficient this delicious tiramisu balls recipe is, I don't have a lot of advice for you. However, if you want to have a truffle that is stuffed with mascarpone or espresso liqueur, you can make a few changes to our recipe. In the dough, as you roll it out flat before rolling it into a ball, pour the liquor or cream.
