Shredded Apple Pie - 4


  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • tiny pinch of salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 medium Red Delicious Apples, peeled and grated with a cheese grater (about 2 ½ cups of grated apple)
  • 1 Unbaked frozen deep-dish pie shell


  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Using a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, and eggs with an electric mixer on medium speed. Beat this mixture until fully combined.
  • Once done, fold in the shredded apples. Pour this mixture into the unbaked pie shell and put the pie on a large cookie sheet.
  • Bake for about 70 minutes.  To prevent your pie from burning the top, cover the top pie with a piece of tinfoil during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  • Carefully remove the pie from the oven and allow the pie to cool and set at least 1 hour before serving.
  • Serve your pie slices with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce. Enjoy!
