Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease both the sides and bottom of a pie dish. Choose whatever size you want. Mix together the sugar, flour, and spices in a bowl.
Peel the apples, then slice into rounds. The layout on a cookie sheet, sprinkle with the sugar mixture, and bake for about 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and place the apple slices in a pie dish, pressing down slightly to ensure that they are evenly distributed.
Sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture. Bake for another 30 minutes or until apples are soft and golden brown. Cool completely before serving.

TIP: If you don’t have a pie dish, you can use a deep-dish pie pan.
