Equipment

  • Whisk
  • Baking Pan
  • Two Bowls
  • Large Spoon
  • Spatula to spread
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Large plate

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • 8 oz of mascarpone cheese
  • 4-6 oz of vanilla pudding Technically you can use any flavor of pudding for this easy tiramisu recipe with pudding, however, vanilla is neutral and emphasizes the espresso and liquor flavor.
  • 2 Cups of Cold Espresso You can use coffee if the espresso is too dark or bitter. It needs to be cold though! Warm espresso or coffee will cause the ladyfingers to become soggy.
  • 1.5 cups of whole milk
  • 1 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 2-4 oz of espresso liquor The alcohol is completely optional. While some Easy Tiramisu Recipes with pudding calls for the use of liquor it is not necessary. Instead, you will need to add an extra 2-4 oz of cold coffee or espresso. I have also seen some people get creative and use mocha or caramel syrups.

Instructions

  • The first step when you make this Easy Tiramisu Recipe with Pudding is to make the filling. Gather all of the ingredients, not including the espresso/coffee or the lady fingers. In a large bowl, whisk the ingredients together. Although you can also blend the ingredients, when blending it causes foam that is hard to settle.
  • Whisk the filling until it is smooth. Then, cover the bowl with plastic wrap so that you preserve the filling before you layer the tiramisu dessert. Place this in the refrigerator for preservation.
  • The ladyfingers is the second step is this Easy Tiramisu Recipe with Pudding. You will need to layer out the lady fingers. Take each one and dunk them into a small bowl that is filled with coffee, liquor, and some cocoa. You can add more flavors like vanilla extract if you would like.
  • This is the easiest step, but if you leave the ladyfingers too long in the mixture, this can cause the cookie to break apart. Instead, lay the ladyfinger inside of the bowl and quickly take it out. Then, place the ladyfingers on top of a smooth and clean surface,
  • I also recommend on the third step in this Easy Tiramisu Recipe with Pudding to begin layering the tiramisu. Before you can start layering this delicious and creamy dessert though, you will need to decide how many layers you want. Usually, tiramisu desserts have two to three layers that alternate between ladyfingers and the filling.
  • First start with the ladyfingers. Then, you can move on to the filling. Do this over and over until the top layer is completely smooth on top.
  • During the fourth step, after the dessert has enough layers, it is good to sprinkle cocoa powder on top as a garnish and decoration. This edible decoration is delicious and adds a splash of color on top of the creamy tan dessert. You can also sprinkly cinnamon on top and in between the layers. It is up to your preference.
  • Once you add the final touches, including a sprinkle of cinnamon, you are ready to eat and enjoy the delicious treat! Need to store leftovers? You are in luck, as long as you have room in your fridge or freezer, you can keep leftovers! If you want the leftovers to last up to 4 months long, place them in the freezer in a container with a tight lid.

Notes

  • There are many tips and tricks that you can use to make this Easy Tiramisu Recipe with Pudding. Since it is a quick recipe though, you don't have to make huge changes! However, did you know that you can make the filling in advance? If you don't have time in one day to prepare this delicious dessert, you can make the filling before.
  • I recommend this because the filling is what gives this delicious dessert the most flavor. If you are looking to have something that tastes and feels like a sweet and creamy espresso, leaving the filling in the refrigerator the night before can help!
